Work starts on the Broad Street Leisure Complex in Halifax

Marshall Construction Group of Elland have commenced construction of the long awaited £50m Broad Street Plaza Leisure Development for The Gregory Property Development Co in the town centre of Halifax and this important scheme should be completed by late 2011.

David Brimblecombe from Gregory commented “When it opens next year the development will deliver a destination leisure location for Halifax”.

Walker Singleton acted as sole selling agents for Calderdale MBC in the transaction, undertook a widespread marketing campaign and provided consultancy services throughout the selection and subsequent legal process.

The development will include a Vue Cinema, Premier Travel Inn with 100 rooms and 7,000 sq.ft restaurant, a Chiquito Mexican Restaurant, Frankie & Benny’s Restaurant, Wetherspoons Public House, a 20,000 sq.ft Health Centre and a 429 space car park.
